Assassination!

"I..just told you that." The Kandonian gives Avaera a confused look as the duelist replies.

"'Cuz they're bitter over the war or still trying to impose their religious views on us, or something. I can't be sure of every motive."

"None of us are responsible for the assassination. And we aren't the ones fighting corruption, that's Them."

The green-clad fellow walks in to see the rope catch fire. "Uh, your captives are escaping."

[Doomthingy]

Mesa jumps up and dramaticly dawns his helmit while also throwing his cloak to the ground. upon seeing the slightly crazy exguard, the "captives" gasp, jump to thier feet,and prepair for attack. this time mesa grabs his two sheilds and charges. after all is said and done both are out cold tied up and are missing some teeth. Upon relizing that his cover is blown, soon as he finishes tying the nots, hustles back out the door into the night.

"I'm guessing I can assume he's the one that tied them up the first time?" The green-clad person approaches Avaera. "Just what are you doing with these two anyways?"

A Sky Eagle (Skywing) lands just outside the city. A slim woman (Zoe) steps off it. They head towards the city and rent a room in a respectable inn for Zoe and a barn for the Sky Eagle as it is far too late to go on tonight.

[Doomthingy]

Muffled voices coming from the in, a man shouded in black stands in a corner listening them. intent on figuring out the mystery of the assasination. a theif walks up behind the man, with a knife to his back the theif demands for all his money he has. the man turns around and the knife is thrusted into him. the knife breaks and the theif can see the shine of armor right before getting beaten till out cold.

It is too late to go on tonight but not too late to collect something. She visits the alchemist. "Alchemist? Is what I requested ready?" The alchemist: "Yes, m'lady!" And hands Zoe a bag. (This bag contains many different poisons and antidotes.)

(OOC: Edit: She now has the news from the alchemist)

[Brazzle]

A hooded figure wearing brown* walks into town and is sitting in a corner of the tavern (having arrived a little while before Larek** but after Mesa), and rented a bed for the night already. When Mesa walks in again, he stares suspiciously at him for a moment before looking back at sctjkc's*** captives. The figure winces as Mesa dons his helmet and shield bashes them into submission, removes his hood and walks over behind Larek, saying, "I'm pretty sure he was the one that tied them up in the first place." and adds as an afterthought, "How could there be two berserkers like that in one town? They'd either kill each other or kill everyone, right?" Then, after thinking it over, Brazzle slowly says, "No, forget that. But I think you can safely assume it was him. Same unusual colour of rope both times, see? Oh, and do I know you from somewhere? Orecrest, perhaps?"

OOC: There, that's me caught up.
OOC: Another thought: It's possible, and likely, that one of us will turn out to be the assassin, right? ...although, Larek, if you already have someone planned, don't spoil the surprise.
*We had three or five people in black already. Enooough.

(OOC: Can it be morning now? Please? And also, Zoe IS an assassin, so I wouldn't mind it being her, as long as she dosen't get caught.)

OOC: Larek hasn't replied yet, but I'd think the assassin's chances are slim, er, poor, as they're going to have 5-10 adventurers tracking them down. Not non-existant, but slim. Also, basically, it can't be morning till Larek says so, unless someone can (magically or alchemically) change the time of day. I think.

Thaut turns his chair around on one of the back legs to look at Brazzle. "No. I don't think we've met. And definitely not in Orecrest. Never been off the mainland." He pauses a second and studies Brazzle's face. "Thaut. Who are you?"

OOC: i wouldnt say Mesa is a berserker, but it was pretty radom. Also people need to post more, and i cant really becasue mesa is trying to lay low

(OOC: I'm back! ... for an indeterminate amount of time. I got too frigging busy is all.)

After spacing out for about an hour (OOC: read as "not participating for a month") Avaera begins to straighten up after bending over for the whole time.

He mentally rewinds to catch up on recent events (OOC: read as "caught up with the storyline") and sits down at a table, deciding on whether or not to start writing up some notes on recent events (OOC: read as "Doomthingy's Mesa acting like some sort of hyped-up caped crusader").

Some drunk stands up, unawares that the topic is no longer on mesa
Drunk "I seen hem before. thatsh Mesha, ex-guard of orecrest." takes another swig of rum "hes a damn fine soldier, too bad he left"
The drunk old man gulps down his remaining rum, slams the empty mug on the table, and passes out face first on the floor.

Meanwhile, in Orecrest Proper.

Captain Tiko Rakoric quickly pulled open the door to the Glory Vein, while desperately pulling his cloak tighter to keep dry from the torrential downpour outside. Sighing as he shut the door, he made his way to his usual table. Nodding at Ravenok as he sat down, he quickly noticed that something was wrong.

The usual group of rowdy and mischievous adventurers were gone. The wenches actually looked like they had had a decent night's sleep for once, but Garis was not amused.

"Did you scare everyone away, Garis?"
